Lindsey Street Community Association was founded in the early 1950s by local residents, who built the original clubhouse to provide enjoyment and entertainment for families in the area. Over the years, the Association has grown and now welcomes members from a wide surrounding area, with membership currently standing at approximately 350.

The original small wooden building has been significantly extended. A large hall has been added, complete with a stage, ante-rooms, and kitchen. The hall is available for hire by members for functions such as parties, weddings, and other celebrations. It also benefits from its own licensed bar, and hirers have access to the spacious kitchen to support their catering needs.

The club also offers the convenience of a large private car park.

The original building now houses the members’ lounge and bar, featuring a pool table, dartboards, and games machines. An additional adjoining room contains a full-sized snooker table and a further dartboard, regularly used for competitions.

Saturday night entertainment varies throughout the year, with visiting acts alongside popular in-house events such as discos, race nights, and occasional karaoke evenings.
